Somewhere between a survey and a call
A call gets you depth but needs everyone's calendars to line up. A survey reaches people whenever it suits them but can't ask “what do you mean?”. An AI interview does both: people answer when they want, and the AI can still follow up.
The conversation starts by saying who is asking and roughly how long it takes. Then it goes through your questions one at a time, in the language you chose.

Every person gets the same questions, in the same order. The AI won't invent new topics or dig into things you didn't ask about. If an answer is just “fine” or “don't know”, it asks once for a bit more, and then moves on.

An AI interview is great when you want many honest answers without the scheduling. It's the wrong tool when someone might be upset, at risk, or need real help. Those conversations belong with a person.
Treat the summary as a starting point, not the truth. Read what people actually wrote before you make an important decision.
