For educators
Find out what your students really thought of the course.
A course evaluation form gives you a score. Sondering gives you the reason. Share one link with your students, and an AI chats with each of them about the course, asks “why?” when an answer is vague, and gives you a summary you can actually use.
Make an interview- Made for universities, colleges and adult education (students aged 16 and over)
- Students answer on their phone, in their own time, in their own words
- No accounts for students — just a link
§ 01
Better than a rating scale
“3 out of 5” doesn't tell you what to change. A short conversation does. Sondering asks what worked and what didn't, and follows up when someone writes “the lectures were boring” or “the exam was unfair”, so you learn what they actually mean.
You decide the topic and how long it should take. Most course evaluations work well at five to ten minutes.
- End-of-course evaluations
- Mid-semester check-ins
- Feedback on a new teaching format
- Why people drop out of evening and online courses
§ 02
Easy for you, easy for students
Describe what you want to find out in a short chat, check the questions, and you get a link. Post it in your learning platform, send it by email, or put it on the last slide of your lecture.
Students don't need to sign up. They open the link, answer in a chat, and they're done. You choose the language of the conversation, for example English or Norwegian.
§ 03
Read the answers, not just the average
Your private page shows how many have answered, a summary of the main points, and every conversation in full. Use the summary for an overview, and read the actual answers before you change the course.
Sondering is only for students aged 16 and over, and you shouldn't ask about health or other sensitive topics. Tell students who is asking and how the answers will be used. Honest answers come from people who trust the process.
Ask your students before the course ends.
Set up a course evaluation in a couple of minutes and share it in your next lecture.
