Sondering

AI user research

Research conversations that keep asking why.

Sondering turns a research brief into an adaptive, text-based interview. Respondents join when it suits them, while you follow the conversations and emerging themes from a private dashboard.

Make an interview
  • Start from a goal and audience, not a blank survey form
  • Ask follow-up questions based on each respondent's answer
  • Review transcripts, themes, and summaries in one private place

§ 01

From research question to interview plan

Good qualitative research starts with what you need to learn. Brief Sondering in a short chat about the decision you are facing, the people you want to hear from, and the tone the conversation should have.

The assistant proposes an objective, audience, interview length, and question set. You can ask it to go warmer, shorter, or deeper before you finalize anything.

  • Product and concept discovery
  • Onboarding and churn research
  • Customer and employee feedback
  • Exploratory qualitative studies

§ 02

More depth than a static form

A form asks the next field. An interview listens to the answer first. Sondering uses the research plan and the conversation so far to ask relevant probes, clarify vague language, and invite concrete examples.

Every respondent still moves through a consistent research objective, but the path can adapt to what they actually say. That makes the interview asynchronous without turning it into a rigid questionnaire.

§ 03

Keep the evidence close

The private check-in dashboard shows progress and the underlying transcripts. Summaries and themes help you orient yourself, while the original words remain available when you need context or want to challenge an interpretation.

Sondering is a research assistant, not a substitute for judgment. You decide who to invite, how to interpret what they say, and when a sensitive or high-stakes conversation belongs with a human researcher.
